Product Review: Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing

It’s no secret that I have a horrible acne issue. It actually started as an adult which sucks because you go all your life thinking that you have great skin and then boom…pimple city. Not only do I have horrible acne, but when the pimples go away they leave bad blemishes. Yep… LOSE, LOSE situation for me.

Over the past few years I have tried numerous different products but nothing has worked. So when our #BeautyBoss, Courtney Dade sent the Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing samples from our affiliate over to me for review I was so excited to try it out. My package included a cleanser, blemish clearing serum and oil free moisturizer. Each product contains different types of organic fruit juice which have been certified organic by a USDA approved Agency. For me, that’s a huge plus because tons of companies attempt to claim organic and have no certification to back them up.

Now for the review of each product.

Cleanser:

“Inhibits bacteria, clarifies and removes impurities”.

Initially when I opened the package the smell was not pleasant. It was very stronger and smelled more of a household cleanser, than a face cleanser. I was able to get pass the smell and apply the cleanser to my face. For a product that does not contain sodium laureth sulfate, it gave a nice foam and I actually felt like my face was clean once it was rinsed off.

Blemish Serum

“Clears, heals and hydrates”.

I was little skeptical with applying the serum to my face because it contains salicylic acid. Now I know that a lot of acne control products have this in it, but seriously who doesn’t get nervous at the thought of putting any kind of acid on their face? It also contains CoQ10 which is an enzyme that is produce by your body and used for cell growth and maintenance, as well as an antioxidant, so I guess you can say the two of them cancel each other out(insert uncomfortable laugh). After applying it, my face started to burn in the areas where my acne is the worse. That was pretty uncomfortable for a moment but it only lasted a few seconds. The serum itself felt very slimy (for lack of better words), but had a pleasant smell. I could actually tell that it had fruit juice in it. This also required no rinsing.

Oil-Free Moisturizer:

“Lightweight and balancing”.

The moisturizer has the same juice smell as the serum and is to be applied on top of the thin layer of serum. So yea..about that.. Once I applied the moisturizer it literally made the slimy texture of the serum even worse. It took a good 2-3 minutes to work into my skin and afterwards, my face was very sticky to the point where I had to rinse it off again.

Here’s the verdict….The experience was pretty unpleasant however, I know there are sometimes sacrifices in texture when dealing with natural products, so the jury is still out. I am willing to try the full size products to confirm that it will actually clear my blemishes so with that being said, I am going to order the 30 day supply and do a follow up post. If you would like to try it for yourself and join me on this little adventure, you can purchase the 30 supply for $39 at juicebeauty.com.

Be on the look out for part 2 of this review!!

Until next time!
